Rick has been playing bass guitar professionally for over thirty years in various rock and dance bands in the Central New Jersey area. Depending upon the song, Rick may utilize the slap, flat pick, thumb pick or a two and three finger string-plucking technique. Rick uses Sadowsky and Yamaha 5-string basses with Euphonic Audio amplification.
His bass guitar influences include John Entwhistle, Paul McCartney, and Louis Johnson. He not only loves playing music but is also an avid guitar collector. As the owner and proprietor of "Frets Plus" [Hamilton, NJ] Rick is entrusted by innumerable New Jersey and Pennsylvania guitarists and bassists with the detailed repair, maintenance and, in select cases, complete restoration of their instruments. Rick is a graduate of St. Anthony High School, Hamilton NJ. He majored in Accounting at Trenton State College. He has also completed studies at the Galloup School of Lutherie, in Big Rapids, Michigan. He resides with his wife and family in Central NJ. |
